Author Topic: Who is the best coder -- Creativity/Skill Competition (GET CODING!)  (Read 3823 times)

You've posted next to nothing about the actual competition

Other scripting contests were cool because they had themes and objectives (e.g. 1024 byte mod, creating a specific mod, etc)
This was what I expected someone to post

Also, I want detailed eepos-proof style rules

LOL

Wait what's so f-

..LOL

you guys know exactly what I mean,

I want you to not only explain like I'm 5 but tell us everything we can't put in our code

C'mon add me, I got this, I won best programmer in my city already B3

You where late, sorry.

It is the best overall mod, and I tell you the genre so it doesn't require barrels of overflowing creativity.

1st Day Competition

Today is the first day of the competition, and you have exactly one day to complete this challenge.

You have to create a client sided mod that you think is capable of being proven most useful by the community. It can range anywhere from a mod for movie makers to a mod for the casual builder. There is also a bonus: Whoever has the shortest code gets a slight (not overpowering) advantage in the next stage of the competition. Get coding!

Badspot or Rotondo would win this if either of them entered.

:/ have fun with only 5 people, you know you can't expect everyone to be able to find this and sign up within less than a day.

The community selects it, and maybe BLF would go on a random hatestorm for badspot.
"Badspot doesn't deserve to win a competition that is made possible through his game!"

There aren't enough mods that you can create with pure script to fuel a more then five day competition.

If you didn't make it to the sign ups quick enough, you can enter next competition.

I said 5 people, not 5 days. It would be better with more people.

I plan on having one person eliminated every day. Unless you plan on people having to create the same genre of mod twice? That would require 10 people and I haven't received 10 applications. The tournament is already underway so I'll see what I can do next tourney.

This coding competition is bad, let's create a new one
