yea /support is too old and pointless

Alright, you can express your disgust but it won't do much;
And that search button is really bad.

I haven't actually posted my own thread in years, but I think it's nice to know people agree even when they're too lazy to get past /support. It starts to bother me when it gets to the point of nobody actually contributing.

Or when people quote a post and say "this" like they're about to back it up but then they just don't.

I don't know, I can't say I agree.
It's not like there's a limited amount of replies a topic can receive.
If people want to just pop in to say "good job OP" or "just wanted to let you know someone agrees with ya buddy" I don't get why that's a bad thing. If they really do agree, then there's nothing more to elaborate on.

While the concept of "agreeing without reasoning" is rather stupid now that I'm thinking about it, the person who's getting drama'd may or may not have obvious stupidity. This usually leads to people just saying /support and walking out because the reasoning is, well, obvious.

I understand you're irked about this, but supporting topics without proper reasoning is not entirely bad. It depends on the situation in that drama and/or how the drama'd person reacts.

I find it nice to know that someone agrees, and at times someone will have said something that just encompasses every single point possible to make, and there's literally nothing left to do other than to agree or to re-hash what they've just said.

Which in some cases is just as annoying.

If I find myself agreeing and I don't have much more to say I can usually squeeze out a post that is atleast something to read.
Even if it's not giving extra mass to someone's point, it's still arguably better to explain why you agree with someone and back them up that way, rather than just post 1 word.

But I've seen "/support" and "[quote] 'This' " ever since I joined.
It would be nice if it changed, but these forums are so casual that I don't think they ever will.

if you wanted to tell OP that you actually backed him up you would say something more involved

like /support is practically an emoticon, it's completely devoid of expression beyond 'i agree'. it's got no precision but people fill threads with it anyway

They have a drama topic for every little thing.
/support

I hate when people say /support. It makes me think they are very dumb. Or want some blockland D

Okay cut it out. It's not funny.
