Author Topic: "/support"  (Read 6957 times)

It doesn't bother me.
Yeah same here.

First world problems.

And Count is right, it's like the kids of the drama board just fish for stuff to bitch and moan about.  It's like a competition to make up new complaints.

Take a walk outside and get some fresh air Bushido, sounds like you really need it.

basically support is just people saying they like your idea but beyond that they have no other input

it has its uses but its also widely used incorrectly or uselessly

honestly what if the person saying /support just doesn't have anything to say because what they would say was already said and they don't say anything to avoid redundancy?

It doesn't bother anyone. People just want something to complain about. It's like when you hear jets above your house everyday or traffic around where you live and get used to it, then somebody brings it up and says "that is so annoying, how do you live with those sounds around you?!" Then you and everyone around begin to notice the noise, and get annoyed as well.

if i were looking for something to complain about just for the sake of complaining then i would pick a fight with someone specifically just for the argument

that way at least the conversation would feed upon itself and snowball

i'm genuinely mad that people have created a shorthand that has been not only misused wildly but it's also so widespread that entire topics are post after post of the same thing with no progress toward any goal or resolution and i think it should stop because it isn't actually helpful

and i'm so sorry if that's somehow symptomatic of me being a shut-in. seriously, what the forget

Do people just type /support now instead of spending time to write an actual response?

It's obvious that Arty is just a regular attention whore who really didn't make or do anything, then he made a thread to lie about stuff he didn't actually do or make.
Simple enough.

I noticed this before, I just came back to the forums recently.

/antisupport

Seriously, how does it bother you people?
It's just someone saying they like their idea.

If i ever say i support someone's drama case, then i ban them on any server i can.

Don't you love it when you post a(n) idea/request on the suggestion board and everyone just /support and nothing gets done about the actual request. Loooove it.

Spam posts in a sense are useful sometimes. If they're spaced out enough, they can keep a suggestion topic on the front page and increase the chances of it being made. But I'm only talking about where people wouldn't post unless they only had to write something dumb like /support. Clearly, an actual discussion on the topic is way more useful

Using /support just shows a general inability to actually produce a legitimate sentence that could have an impact on the person that is being supported. Sloth and imbecility are the roots of these one-word posts.

People are lazy. What are you going to do? Force them to post a full on sentence explaining in detail why they agree?
Plus, sometimes agreeing would be common sense so people just say common things like /support or "I agree"

Pretty tired of people getting pissed at this, it's not going to change anything guys, sorry.
People are going to be lazy, just like people are going to have bad grammar.
