Author Topic: I might file a lawsuit against ASUS (Resolved)  (Read 9018 times)

Get a great lawyer and go for it, if you have the money.

Theft of data, refusal to show proof that they destroyed my hard-drive, and poor service is definitely something to sue for.
lol

is it really theft when you send it to them? and you sue for poor service?

lol

You leave your car at a garage to get fixed.
It comes back out and the radio is gone.
It's not theft because you gave it to them.
Yep, makes sense.

it is one thing after another with you isnt it

It's theft when they take the hard-drive without permission that has all my stuff on it, yes.

Poor service as in hanging up on the loving phone when I demand loving proof for my goddamn hard-drive being destroyed. Do you loving realize how serious this is?

but they even replaced the hard drive and provided reasoning for it.  if the OP was thinking, he would have just grabbed the hard drive before sending it.

lol, were you acting like a prick when you were demanding proof?  that's also not theft though, you should fully expect them to do this.

You're filing a lawsuit towards a multi-million dollar company. Unless you grow four-leaf clovers in your backyard, you need loving Phoenix Wright to even remotely accomplish something in the courtroom.

sorry to burst in during the argument but i keep misreading the topic title as "I might file a lawsuit against star fish"

egg-sually its pretty easy to win these things cuz most of the time the guy filing a lawsuit demands money for basically a new laptop, which is back pocket change for asus

Yeah, I know. If you read the OP fully you'd realize I already understood that I'm hopeless in this situation. I'm literally debating putting this aside, going to law school, become a lawyer, and do this myself in about 10 years. LOL

I'm so loving mad. I'm going to at least demand compensation for it. All I really care about is receiving proof they destroyed the hard-drive. If they did, I'll be FINE.

What else could I have done? Taken the hard-drive out and send it in and have my warranty denied? Does that automatically give them the right to "destroy" (probably taken and having the data extracted if you wanna be a conspiracy nut) my hard-drive?

I would demand much more than that. I'd demand proof of the destruction of my hard-drive and possibly 10 grand at most. At minimum, the best gaming laptop they have. lol

lol good luck with those pipe dreams. u got any proof.

lol they dont give 2 stuffs about you. if it becomes public they would give you their hobo stash to you to keep their reputation.

i don't think that taking the hard drive out voids your warranty.

lol 10 grand?  for pain and suffering thinking that your girlfriends nudes might be made public?

You don't understand lawsuits then.

You won't win unless you file a class action with about 500 other people that have the same problem, Asus is a major company.
