Author Topic: Nations at War - Closing Time!  (Read 239403 times)

Posters appear on what streets?  Those in the Abdullahi sector?  In the AC capitol?  Belsnia?  Vierte?  The moon?

Either way, across the AC posters featuring An Abdullahian rebel holding firing a machine gun into a crowd of women and children go up.  Other posters to go up across the AC include one depicting the widowed mother of two small children at the funeral of her husband, the captain of the vessel subject to the first attack captioned "Are you next?", as well as a poster depicting the Grand Sheikh in an easy chair before a fire captioned "We can keep the family together."

The AC will not oppose Erinaum's decision, as the AC still hopes that Abdullahi will be willing to relocate to the Americas.

I'd rather claim the land in the US than greenland to be honest. I just feel vulnerable there. Is there some setting that prevents random attack? Like, neutrality?

don't move into the U.S until they find relocation for abdullahians pls
it would be stupid

Only matters if Abdullahi is willing to choose moving over war.

Random attacks usually happen to nations that are on top of important resources, hold strategic lands, or get involved in the world's messes.  As far as I can tell, Mexica has little to worry about.  That's my take on it anyway.

Abdullahian sector, sorry.

Supporters tear down the Confederate posters I their area.

Another email is sent, offering to fight this war with politics, rather than violence.

The AC will always prefer diplomacy to warfare.

After receiving this news, the rebellious leader makes an appearance on the concrete stage in center square in the Abdullahian capital, Utukufu.  His face is wrapped perfectly, wearing an outfit familiar to historians as the outfit often worn by general Kibwe Askari.  He is escorted onto the stage by several men armed with ancient AR-62s, that look well maintained.  The crowd that had gathered there, having been notified before secretly, began to cheer.  He thrust his hands upward, shouting greetings in many languages.  The crowd cheers his appearance, applauding him.  He lowers his hands, silencing the crowd.  He grips the podium, looking around at the crowd, and then examining the low skyline carefully.  He checks to make sure that his makeshift security is in place, a group of men armed similarly to those who stand on stage with him.  The head of security gives him an ok to begin, and so he addresses the crowd in the language most spoken by he Abdullahian people.

"Wandugu, siku hii alama ya siku kwamba amani ni wa maandishi kati ya waasi Abdullahian na Shirikisho," he stops as the crowd begins to cheer.  He silences them again, "Hii haimaanishi hata hivyo kuwa sisi ni mara nyingine tena bure. Sisi bado lazima kupambana kwa ajili ya uhuru wetu, si na silaha na vurugu, lakini kwa maneno na diplomasia."  The crowd cheers again, and the man waits for it to die down more before silencing them.  "Mimi kuuliza kwamba seli ambao ni waaminifu kwa kusababisha wetu kila mahali tafadhali kuweka chini silaha yako na kurudi kwao na sababu kwa mara moja. Kwa ajili Abdullahi!"  With that, he steps down.  One of the members of security on stage stays behind to fly the Abdullahian flag, saluting it and leaving the stage, catching up to the escort.

The man and his entourage drive off, taking a complicated route of backstreets and alleyways to their HQ, and disappear to any eyes in the sky under a layer if foliage.

The Atsinans sigh and wait for work.

Yeah, sorry about that then.
Don't worry, diplomacy could still take a turn for the worse.

Also, the Abdullahian leader doesn't need to be all covert so long as his party (yes, that's what I'll be referring to it as) is willing to pay for damages to the AC (No, he won't go through any legal proceedings if that should happen).

The topic title is speaking to me.

All militiamen in the Abdullahian "sector" are encouraged to discharge at the end of their enlistment and join the Abdullahian Independence Party's private security.  Politicians with Abdullahian blood are also encouraged to take their side.

3 Belsnian cruisers are seen patrolling off the coasts of Abdullahian Africa.

The sighting is reported to the head of the Abdullahian Independence Party, and he demands that the Grand Sheikh explain it at once.

International waters.  Also, it's still my land, even if you're lobbying to make it not so, and Belsnia is a blood brother, ally to the ends of the Earth and beyond, if nukes were allowed in this RP I'd let Belsnia blow them up in the Sahara, they can sail a few ships in the Mediterranean.  They're not your waters, they're mine.

Since the Abdullahi region of the AC is no longer in a state of open insurrection, I don't personally expect any ships to open fire unless fired upon.

The ACHC passes a resolution that should Abdullahi by any means attain independence, that it will experience a total trade embargo and their ships will be blocked from exiting the Mediterranean.  The AC's tariffs are normally just low enough to provide some revenue to the government, but any nation (outside of the TB Pact) that should choose to engage in trade with Abdullahi would experience an increased tariff.

An email is sent from an AC ip address.  What does Abdullahi have to offer the AC that would compensate for the loss of land? (Keep in mind that the AC took a long time, fought a war, and made itself hated so that it would have a contiguous empire that includes all of Africa)

Abdullahi will compensate nothing, for the Arab Confederation fought for none of Abdullahi's land, as the Abdullahian people were accepting of their rule for they were in need of a governing body.
