It's a nice round number, and gives all nations present a little room to grow into.  If you feel that this is too high or too low a count, do some selecting to see if you still disagree after, and then we can talk. Yes, that number is partially based on my nation's size and my desire to own all of Africa.

Not a word is spoken, but it is known, that all ethnicities have felt a surge of Rosyian (Belsnian) patriotism.

The Grand Sheikh of the Arab Confederation mourns the passing of the Tsar, and states his regrets that the monarchy will be stepping down, and states that there will always be a place in the Imperial Confederate Palace for the Tsars.  He does note, however, that he has no intention of letting AC-Belsnia relations go south, and that the AC will support Belsnia whichever way it should go.

You can basically just ignore the posted year.  People will call bull if anyone goes to far or anything.

On his way home from Belsnia, the Grand Sheikh of the AC suffered a mild stroke.  Prompted by this, he named his successor to be his second son.  There is some controversy and much discussion in the public forums regarding the country's future.  The main debate is whether Islamist Fundamental Theorcratics or whether the Monarchy-Oligarchy should retain power, or if there should just be some trend toward a less controlling Republic.  The AC government encourages its citizens to engage in debates and such, and also puts out a statement that both general freedoms (press, speech, thought, assembly), and especially freedom of religion will be maintained.  It is expected that the Monarchy-Oligarchy will continue to retain power, and that little will change from the already generous freedoms held by all citizens of the AC.
