Author Topic: Nations at War - Closing Time!  (Read 239211 times)

At the press conference, it's revealed that the nation is being renamed to Irrklaand, and they are making a huge switch to Democracy. This is a large change for the Empire, and the press conference goes on for several hours.

That name Irrks me a little bit.

That name Irrks me a little bit.
The Irrklaanders see what you have done there.

The Irrklaander natives have pushed back from the Frah'ii Island and have moved back to the Garji Island.
The committee of Natives:

Those are some good-looking motherforgeters.

The AC will support Plexia in its crusade against its violent terrorist dissidents in the form of areal dropping of tear gas or temporary paralytic gas.  The fact that Erinaum is so upset is unfortunate, but the AC wishes to remind Erinaum that Plexia's current dealings with the dissidents are much less abrasive than during the previous riots, and that it really isn't Erinaum's problem, it's Plexia's and that of whoever involves themselves.

Surveys show that AC citizens are about evenly for or against involvement in Plexia, but that a "No foot on the ground" policy is favored by as much as three fourths of the Ac's population.

The rioters begin to advance on the APCs and the troops.  Several rioters fire guns at the troops.  The APCs respond by opening up into the mob.
Teargas is also used and the riot finally dies down.  After the mob has dispersed, everyone still there with a bullet wound is sent to a military hospital to be fixed up.

A crew of medics goes forward into the wreckage to look for survivors.

Plexia hopes to resume peaceful relations with Erinaum.

A flight of 4 Mig-25 Foxbat fighter aircraft take off from Alexander Air Force Base in Southern Siberia. The aircraft carry large fuel tanks and what seem to be cameras.

The natives set up a Moraaki Outpost just north of the Isle of Reykjavik and open it up for trade. They fashion themselves weapons and prepare to shoot any that enter, so the government of Irrklaand sets up a "National Tribe Land" area. The estimated 1,562 Natives in the Moraaki tribe are known for being very violent, so nobody ventures into the area without a special government pass.
In other news, a large Boeing 747 takes off from the relatively small Reykjavik International Airport, and lands in Alfaiightfakjit (pronounced Alfa-eet-fajit). Inside is the leader of   Lydia Corp., Fralinz Brugal. He is assassinated as he is walking off the plane and a police investigation ensues. The gun that was found at the scene was owned by a rebel group leader, the Liberatory Group of Greenland.

Due to a sudden reveal of the country of Megavorria, nobody receives word it's there yet.

Yaslovakian military blackhawk helicopters and dozens of Yaslovakian settlements are seen in Megavorria.

A revolutionary invention has come in The Order of Utah.  We have been able to connect computers using wavelengths through radio towers and satellites.  This has greatly increased the rate of research in the country as everyone is now able to share information rapidly over the newly named Synergen system.

We have patented the idea, but are happy to share with other countries to increase the potency of this new invention.  Utah will keep some degree of control over this system, and has established The Great Firewall for increased to security.  Additionally, for the gift of this new technology, we would ask for some sort of offer of money or technology in return.

IE: Utah invented the internet but in this world it is called the synergen, and we are offering in exchange for stuff

The AC works to develop its own even better version, which will be called the GlobNet.
The AC would like to include Erinaum and Belsinia in this scientific crusade.

The AC puts a man in orbit.  The orbit lasted one day before its scheduled re-entry and uneventful landing in the Indian Ocean.

The Order begins putting a lot of money into this new invention.  We are training a lot of citizens to be trained in this field of study to benefit it greatly.  We want to be as technologically advanced as possible.

We would also like to point out that our system is already created and will have the time to increasingly improve and develop while the other system is still being created.  Just food for thought for the other countries.

Why am I not invited?
Because you aren't part of the existing triumvirate.  It's not personal or anything, you just don't have any street credit as a nation as of yet.

The GlobNet will be better than Synergen, in time.  Also, if you train more people, there's more opportunity for information to leak, even though it does often provide the benefit of improved development speed.

Oh I understand. I'll still be able to invest in it, right?
