I personally find it reasonable that both sides would face heavy losses and that a bunch of rebels would be at a notable disadvantage against trained military personnel, even with the advantage of cutting edge gear. I do agree with Swat regarding stuff built to crash into a target after being hit, that seems difficult to engineer.
My real issue with all of this is how Conservatia has a navy, seeing how it's landlocked and all.
After attacks on Scimitar and Belsnia by Medusa, Scimitar begins searching out and locking down various computer centers believed to be held by rebel groups that perpetrated these attacks.
Refugee demographics indicate that the majority of the fighting that is driving people out of the country is occurring along the coasts and in the south. Refugees continue to bring in various items relating the the formerly unified government. It has been rumored but not confirmed that a trio of high ranking Erinamese generals from the south has straight up defected to the AC with half around three quarters of a division made up of similar minded soldiers, and that it secretly entered the AC with a small convoy of unmarked trucks. AC refugee documentation has shown no particular jumps in refugee documentation that would normally accompany such an event, but conspiracy theorists have a field day anyway. Polled refugees are now tending to be fleeing the violence, but also out of fear of what one refugee called the "Invaders from New Sparta" and what the regime change will mean for the common good of the people. Some refugees, however, have actually returned, believing that the worst is over and the conflict is going to wind down quickly.
