Wonder why new servers aren't getting created/joined?

Because the popular servers are actually FUN.

You see you get a lot of players when you have something interesting or fun.

John328328's freebuild (pls come) isn't fun or interesting.

Tezuni's Jail RP is interesting to some people so they play it. Other people see 'hey, people are here, gonna join to see what's so fun'

Started at the bottom now we here

has anyone called you cringy yet?
you're just about tripping it now lol

If you grade a server by the level of players it gets, you will have some seriously skewed results.
I've come to enjoy hosting servers with a 4 or 7 player cap. You get to know the group that comes, its simple to administrate, and it fills up relotively quickly because of the urge people get when they see there are only 2 player slots left. you wont get popular, but its more fun than shooting for the top of an ever-changing player list. IMO

Plus, if you're top server for more than 20 minutes, a drama is posted, and the haters feed.

almost every time i host a typical family RP, it gets about 6 players within the first 4 minutes, so the "when your on the bottom, you stay on the bottom" isn't true.

I'm starting to get the idea johnny looked through the forums and got a general idea what people hate and threw it here to try and fit in

Okay, don't rage on me for this, but I sort of think having Blockland on Steam would just attract more noobs, hoping it's something like Minecraft or Roblox, even though both games were created after Blockland (or at least, Minecraft was) and they are different-styled games. Minecraft is survival / creative in a pre-generated world, whereas Blockland is just a sandbox game you can play by yourself or with your friends. I don't know...I just can't imagine it being on Steam. And we'd have to keep reputation, of course, because we don't want the good players leaving, do we? To do that, I think OP is right about this, making a new and improved update, not necessarily removing anything for the sake of nostalgia for experienced players.

The only way someone could think Blockland is like Minecraft or Roblox is by not reading the description on Steam and not looking at any of the images, and if they do that, they deserve to be disappointed.

I agree with this, because all Blockland has been in my point of view is Family RPs and freebuilds.

It would be nice if Badspot did an update where it made Blockland obsolete.

Yeah i feel the same way. The creativity in blockland is stuff now adays. The forums are starfishs, not very helpful or tolerant (like tolerant to bronies or furries). Ingame is just frustrating like the new players are intolerant and stupid, won't let me help them what so ever. I feel like this community is a dictatorship. For alot of reasons. Such as a comment alot of users do "It's his/she server he/she can do whatever he/she wants". Plus badspot did an update which was very pointless 75% community can't even run shaders!

Oh hey that's me...

Ingame is just frustrating like the new players are intolerant and stupid, won't let me help them what so ever. Then don't try to help. Most new players are starfishs, let them figure stuff out on their own.

I feel like this community is a dictatorship. Any community is a dictatorship. Any game with different ranks such as user and admin will be like that. It's not like Badspot is going to take a vote on whether to change something, it's his loving game.

For alot of reasons. Such as a comment alot of users do "It's his/she server he/she can do whatever he/she wants". Badspot addressed this in some drama, basically saying "might doesn't make right".

Plus badspot did an update which was very pointless 75% community can't even run shaders! gj, you pulled a number out of your ass. If you can't run shaders, dish out like $40 to buy a new video card that can. I only have integrated graphics and I can run shaders on low.

i'm sorry, i can't take this even remotely seriously because of the loving blingee ass logo

you obviously think that this game isn't fun anymore.
