Why do people hate My Little Pony so much?

Lately i've been seeing instances where people shoved off bronies in boards like Creativity or Drama. Mostly in Creativity i'm guessing. I just want to know why people hate My Little Pony so much? I know it's weird, but can't we just accept that people like other things that we might not find so greatly?

This really. You can't reasonably expect that calling someone a cigarette for liking a show is going to be something they aren't going to argue with.
