at first it looked like a stupid topic. then everyone started noticing strange subliminal messages and stuff.

This. When my turn comes around, everything will all be prepared beforehand. Of course sometimes users catch messages that the op missed, so you can improvise at that point, but make sure you have the material lol.

If I wanted to make an ARG here, I'd prepare awhile in advance under a new alias and everything.

Like, I'd make related youtube videos and upload them now and start the ARG a year or so in the future, as an example. That would also give me time to think of a good story and whatnot. It'd make it go more smoothly and the upload date being ages ago would make it slightly more 'mysterious'. It would also help make sure the whole ARG thing was blown over and forgotten about.

That's just me, though. I don't know if anyone else would go that far with it.
