Bump because of new idea.

An FPS where the setting is in a VR chamber.

You could change whatever the hell you want, including weapons, enemies, friendlies, vehicles, gravity, time setting, location, and more.
You can even make your own weapons and give them to yourself or to enemies. Same with vehicles.

But every now and then it malfunctions, and randomly changes every setting.
So you could be having a slightly normal realistic gun fight in New York City, and the next thing you know, it malfunctions, and suddenly you're in 1130 B.C. in Antarctica with laser weapons killing Russians who speak Spanish that have RPGs.
There would be an option to turn that off if you want though.

Customizable RTS. Instead of the classic RTS where there are factions with set units and buildings, you could make your own customized sets, each affecting the other based how powerful they are, so you are enforced into making a balance. Also with randomly generated Skirmish maps.

Earth #.# or Humanity's Future from Community Projects as a game?

  • Top-down action RPG. Has all the elements of RPGs, but isn't really a RPG... basically it's just a crossover of Skyrim and Zelda
  • High-speed, fast paced FPS, but not relevant to the likes of Call of Duty, and has little limitations to customization to character/guns
  • Puzzle horror game, with little jumpscares, atmospheric enviroment, and tricky situations which requires actual thinking

These ideas are probably already taken anyway :P

this is an extremely good idea

Why stop at NYC?
We could have modern-day Paris.
Or London.
Or Moscow. Dubai. Hong Kong. The WORLD.
MUAHAHAHA

Entering the Konami code regenerates them.

you know in black ops two those rts-like campaign levels where you can play one of the dudes or just control it from the map? like that but more advanced. you'd be given a certain amount of units each level (or pick them beforehand for like skirmish and mp) and you could call them in whenever (with a max amount of guys you can have in at a time). you could run around and shoot stuff and give orders right there on the ground, or you could go into the map and just have your guys shoot stuff themselves.

would make it a series and each one would be in a different time period

Yeah I wish that mode was a mode in the multiplayer.

A 2D adventure game where you can build, fight monsters/bosses with a storyline.
Not SBM 2D, kind of like Animal Crossing 2D

badass tarantino-esque civil war third person shooter w/ max payne gunplay, RDD deadeye, AC3 swordplay and a ridic story in an open world and you can dual wield flintlocks and thrown daggars and there is slomo and you're a half white half black dude and a total badass voiced by a gruff david hayter

One that discourages simply rushing the enemy by making the characters flimsy and weak, often getting mowed down by machine guns before they can take two steps into No-Man's Land?
from wwi and up, yes
eras before the gatling and machine gun would be easier to rush, though
