I second this

the game gets unbalanced if this is handled too poorly
I might do it but only to a certain extent

So like the items or power ups only last a round
Or all the coins you get have to be spent the next round or are erased

no no no not a good concept not a good idea won't work still manipulative towards players still lets longtime players outclass new ones not a good idea, do not include it, if you want anything to be brought via coins or whatever they should be cosmetic or have downsides too and not be straight upgrades

Add bigger rings that take health away, make regular rings that give you points to a point shop, make a shop at the top, and make the drop time 30 seconds before it kills you instead of like 5 or whatever it is.

In all honesty all the guns are impossible to use anyway, so this will give rings a purpose because of easy they are to avoid, yet hard to go through.

Have everyone start with pistols.

The guns use raycasting so in this case do connection you will be aiming at where the player was so many milliseconds ago and not where they are. Weapons that use actual bullets should work better and fix this. For example is this used rocket launchers the chances of hitting a target should be easier but it would still be easy to avoid.

I've tried with bullets, it just doesn't work, you go faster than the bullet

And I'm trying to stay away from using point shops but I think this might be a good option

the number of hoops you pass through is your points and if you land on the target it also give you a point
the best gun's price will be all the hoops and the target combined.
if you don't spend your points that round they are erased

plus rings will have ammo crates floating in the middle and you will start with limited ammo

Have limited ammo, like 1 mag each, going through 1 ring gives you 1 mag.
