Author Topic: Planetside 2-playing computer build  (Read 593 times)

Wasn't sure if this belongs in games or not, but I will just leave it here.

So I was wondering if this buils could run Planetside 2.  I don't care how low the settings have to go, I just want a decent framerate.  I've already got my case and hard drive and PSU selected, but I thought maybe you guys could tell me how you think this would do.

Processor: AMD A10-5800K Trinity 3.8GHz
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A75M-DGS FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s(I know its out of stock)
RAM:G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)

If you are wondering why there is no GPU that is because the GPU is onboard the processor, however it has crossfire capability with an AMD Radeon 6670.  This is an option for me in the future, but for now I can't afford to add a discrete GPU.

If it's an onboard chances are it probably won't be able to play it.

The onboard GPU is an AMD Radeon HD 7660D.

My computer meets the minimum requirements for Planetside 2 but anytime I get into a big battle, even with the graphics set as low as they can go, running the smallest resolution, and in windowed mode, it drops to like 10 fps.
