Author Topic: Computer under $700 that will run GTA IV better than awful, with mods?  (Read 2241 times)

Simply this ^. I need something that will run games like Blockland, Minecraft, and Grand Theft Auto IV well with mods like Liberty City Police Department First Response (LCPDFR) and maybe other mods. But I cant find anything like that so I wondered if you guys could help me out. Note: I want a LAPTOP, and it must be PC or else I'm gonna flip, and I know nothing about PCs so put it in simpleton lingo. Thanks.

no shut up sorry ignore this

GTA IV is the most unoptimized game for the PC next to ARMA II.

No 600$ PC, let alone laptop, could run GTA IV smoothly.

thansk eksi

well could it run Modestly good?

Probably. I can run it at slightly low settings on my Toshiba Satellite perfectly fine, and get 30 FPS.

I have a ~$700 PC (or less) that runs GTA IV with iCEnhancer just fine at maximum settings.
You guys drunk.
But yeah, Laptops do cost more at the PC so the price/performance ratio is bigger, you'll have to pay more if you want something good out of a 'gaming' laptop.
If anything I would look at ASUS' ROG laptops.

Holy stuff what laptop.

From $500 to $600 best thing I could find on Newegg:

EDIT: Comparing the components of this laptop to the recommended components for GTA IV show that you should be able to run it. One website even says on high.

It's a desktop, unfortunately. That's what the third line is for.

You guys should try turning up your settings a little bit to see if that increases your framerate. For some reason I get better performance from mixed medium/high settings than just medium settings alone.

Doesnt matter
I just need a COMPUTER that can run gta iv at this point

The reason laptops are so expensive is because the technology is smaller.
