Because it's using older generation parts such as a first-gen Phenom and integrated graphics

If you want a nice computer without having to pay out the ass, you will probably have to look up all the individual components and buy them and then put them all together, like what I am doing.  You will usually pay up to about 400-600 dollars for a decent computer if you build it yourself.
