i always feel much more immersed in a game if it's first person, at least from a role playing standpoint.

however if i'm playing as a character IE nathan drake, john marston, etc. the third person aspect makes it much better

I'm not saying they can't like a game simply because I like it, I'm stating a simple fact: It is the most played game in the world.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion, including me. I'm not bad at dota 2; I simply don't like it, the gameplay is bad to me, and it could use a lot of work. You're slightly contradicting yourself here.

I dont know if dota 2 is like this but I loving hate league of legends for this reason: People shoot you from a distance or stun you or some stuff, then they run away to their turret like a bunch of loving pusillanimous individuals. Thats not fun, its boring as forget. Also all the characters I have used feel clunky, unsatisfying, and just generally stuffty, and I am not asking for an op character I just want one that doesnt feel like stuff.

I felt the exact same way about this game when I first started. My brother eventually showed me the ropes and I learned strategies in the game that helped me. I started getting used to the game and developing some form of skill, hooked on it ever since.
I think that if you gave it a shot with more formal teaching you might get into it, if you like MOBA games. It does take time though.

Me saying the game is good is just an opinion, there are plenty of people that don't like it.
