Author Topic: My cats destroyed my headphones (and a microphone).  (Read 994 times)

Today, I woke up to find that my headphones didn't seem to work. In my phone, in my computer, in my iPad, nothing. So I try to assess the problem, and I find a stuffton of bite marks and scratches on them. Now normally, this wouldn't be a problem except that those headphones were A.) A gift from my dad, and B.) worth 180$. I'm pretty poor, so a 180$ headphone is pretty damn hard to replace. I also found that my Microphone was suffering from the same problem when I found it on the floor, it's USB adapter torn to shreds. I'm thinking about giving my cats away or selling them for money or some stuff, because I'm not going to deal with this anymore.

Do the cats do this all the time?

Do the cats do this all the time?

Unfortunately yes. That's why I've moved my laptop to my room and lock my room door at night.

...your cats know how to open doors?

Yes. That's why I lock it. I've seen them do it, the little stuffs.

i think you have bigger problems, eg. genius cats planning to take over the world by opening doors

My cat chewed one of my ear-buds to the point where the left ear doesn't work anymore.

They only know how to open doors with these types of handles.

Have you left at least one cat in your room when you went to sleep? If so, there's your problem

(unless you haven't, in which case ask your parents or roommate if they've opened the door)

Talk to Jerkface.

From what Ive seen, he's lost nearly 300$ worth of corded electronics from him his one cat.

My cat destroyed my $40 earbuds, sucked, she also doesn't like being kept out and one night actually opened my door using the knob, but it was a round knob...woke me up because she kept jumping on it and it'd violently shake each time she tried.

my cat can and will chew every wire she sees. leave a wire out for one night, i'll be lucky there's anything left of it when i get up
bugger scratches almost everything except her scratching post too, and will not hesitate to attack my other cats if they so much as look at her the wrong way

SEVERAL sets of earphones have been destroyed by my Poodle. looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwTWv3GuKZs
