So lately it seems like the only ban reason people get is "flaming".
Lets take a look at badspot's description of "flaming"
7. Do not flame - If the entire point of your post is to tell someone what an idiot they are, don't bother.
From this post i can get a basic understanding of what he thinks is flaming
- long posts about how stupid someone is
- long posts about how annoying someone is
- long posts about how much you hate someone
- long posts where you lash out at someone in all caps
now lets take a look at someone who was recently banned for flaming today
get loving banned
User was banned for this post
in this post the user block guy is upset because someone posted a gif of a cartoon man raping some people
in the forum rules it states "no nudity or gross stuff".
now even though the man was nude in the gif there were no richards shown or anything like that so block buy was simply mistaken.
but that wasn't a good reason to ban him.
in no way whatsoever was he flaming, all he did was tell someone to get banned for the nudity in his post.
so if that post counted as flaming then i think that specific rule should be more descriptive, maybe quoting some posts that were banned for something like that as examples so the (few) new users that read the rules know what not to do.
this is just my two cents about this subject, i'm probably going to get banned for my opinion anyway.
