A player named Vaporeon was hacking on the server and nothing was done about it.

The check command does not work well and says players are lagging when they are hacking.
He must have unplugged his Internet connection.

this server ruins friendships.

I cannot freely get rid of players that are using unfair advantages freely, why the forget would I want to stay admin.
It's not an unfair advantage when there are other ways to go up. If the lava hasn't started yet, go some other route, if it has started, push them out of the way!

So it's okay to block existing paths because there are other paths that may or may not be covered in lava already due to random lava rising speeds, or the player is just a little slow.

Personally, I don't think players should be penalized unless their actions alone have created the situation they are now in.

And no, I'm not referring to afks or people who aren't defending themselves at the time, I'm talking about equally fighting each other, players should hold no more power than the other unless demonstrated through their own skill, and just that.

A player is impossible to move by any means for the victim, I call that unfair, and would even go as far as calling it abuse of the map itself in a way, it does not give the player a second chance at overcoming the aggressor.

A player abusing the way the map was built to his advantage, making him impossible to kill in a fight should be an offense the admins can enforce.

The same reason I am angry about here is the same reason that the teledoor with the sides to it was changed to just a teledoor on the wall, it was unfair, made certain players invincible to actions by others.

And what happens when more and more players start using these ways of keeping the players off the paths? It's allowed by the host and the admins will either be punished for it or told not to do anything about them, so why the forget not?

Players are essentially allowed to abuse this power, forcing other players to find other ways up.

If the player cannot pass another, you can find another route, or wait till you receive the push brooms, in which you could easily knock off the blocker. If you can't do that, you should have found the other way around!

Holding down the click button and aiming requires little to no skill. Finding advantages (That can be lost if you're careless) in a map means a player is good. As of now, there is literally no places a player can camp and win while the push brooms are in play.

maps don't have enough equal areas

its all one peak and then whoever gets up there and doesn't have lag.

it needs more of a secondary aspect once you get up there. like maybe a gun dm, using cover on separate peaks
the guns would be added when the lava nears a certain height

We need a mountain map btw. This post reminded me of it because of "peaks".

yeah doomland is one of my least favorites
it's got a neat concept and it's fine with a handful of people but when you get swarms of people racing up the steps at once it gets annoying fast
i guess at least it's more open so it's harder to sit around and do nothing (except in certain spots like the bowl of champions and that pink and orange room)
also while i'm on the subject of that pink and orange room, i feel like the transparent wall on the end of it should be taken out. many times have i tried to push someone out of the room through there but weren't able to because of that window

mote mansion is another map with that clutter issue, especially since it's so closed off
the entrances and stairs etc are built for only about one player to go through, so with a server of close to 30 people it can become annoying as well



The player that pushed me down was on the purple bricks, around the pink stairs, I was jumping to the pink stair second to top. I could not reach him, he could reach me.

He pushed me down to a lower point, and the lava was already rising very near the step I landed on.



From the step that I was pushed to, the view was basically this.

He had moved down to the step directly above me, and had positioned himself in a way that makes any effort I use to pushbroom him away was nullified because there was a stair above his player object.

The lava eventually killed me, and I was put into a situation that made it impossible for me to do anything to him.

So you're saying the other player should let you by and not win?
