It isn't my responsibility to go around to every MM server and teach everyone how to host it.

If you want people to host better, Making a drama about it won't help that much, It'll just make them hated.
Drama is intended for things like, Badmins, Abusive Players, Trolls, starfishs, And some others, But if it's about teaching to host, Then volunteer to loving teach.
Dramaing hosts for not hosting a certain god damn thing correctly, ISN'T GOING TO MAKE THEM HOST BETTER. It's just going to get them HATED.

This topic is about the MM servers that suck. It points out what is going on at those servers that make them suck. What better way is there to help a server than to list everything that makes it bad?

It'll just make them hated.

These servers are already hated, I have simply written out what everyone is thinking.

But if it's about teaching to host, Then volunteer to loving teach.

I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. The things these people are doing to their servers are ridiculous. It's common sense. That's the whole point of this topic.


If you have never players Mafia Madness before, let me try to put it into terms any Blocklander would understand:  What some of these hosts are doing to their MM servers would be like adding rocket launchers to a knife TDM. You just don't do it.

TomTom's Mafia Madness server is dedicated, so the rounds start on their own, and there is only one admin there who is AFK.

The player limit is 20 and half the players don't know what they are doing. Random killing is everywhere and it's basically a DM. Nobody is being banned for anything because there are no admins. The host is nowhere to be found. I do not suggest joining this server until it's fixed. If it's fixed.

I went back an hour or so later because nerraD was admin there. I wanted to see if it had gotten any better since last being there.

It didn't. 20 players is too many people for 1 admin to watch over. The rounds kept starting before anyone could report rule-breaking because it was set to dedicated which it should never be set to. There was tons of random killing and it was generally chaotic every round. Probably 1/4 of the players there didn't even know the rules and another 1/4 was randomly killing people for whatever reason. Probably 1/2 of the server knew what they were doing, but nobody was ever banned when they reported rule-breaking because the next round was already underway.

The only time I saw someone get banned was when the admin was randomly killed, and another time when someone went on a killing spree as an innocent.

I don't know why anyone would start a MM server and then leave. The server is the host's responsibility. If he/she doesn't do anything to keep their players in line, this^ happens. You should NEVER have a dedicated Mafia Madness.

One time I was just sitting there and got voted and shot.
Another I did nothing, and I actually walked around, and I got shot.
Another scenario:
It was night and I warned people not to get close to me due to the abductor.
Well, it happens that some guy was testing me and go close, so I shot him, only to get shot back by someone.
I asked the admins what they would do and they didn't do anything.

That's your rant in a nutshell. Seriously all your details about the flaws are just useless fillers to make your post look authentic. You know the majority of the hosts won't change. This rant is just as worthless as the ones trying to remove Tezuni's Jail RP from the server list.

Seriously, I have seen 10 year olds read all of the rules and play the game correctly.

And those ten year olds want to feel sooooo cool playing a server where 20 people play on everyday, they decide to waste their time anyway.

No it's not...? If you read the rules and observe other people in the game, you can learn how to play in like a half an hour. I already said this...

And I am guessing by "n00wbs" you mean people who don't know what they're doing. And you would be right, people who don't know how to host it, shouldn't host it. That's common sense. So you're right about that bit.

Yes, I do. But maybe I can get a few of them to stop hosting, and a few of them to become good hosts. What happens is:  I join an MM server, see how bad it is, and then find myself hosting my own MM server so the players at that server don't have to go through what they are going through. That's how bad some of them are. I feel like I need to do something to help the players there. Sometimes I don't want to host it, but I have to because people beg me to. For once, I'd like to play MM without having to deal with administrating, and still have it played correctly.

There is only one bad "Tezuni's Jail RP". There are several bad Mafia Madness servers. I want there to be Mafia Madness servers up, or else this topic wouldn't exist and I wouldn't join those servers.

I admit, I handled that server that I hosted pretty badly. I banned people permanently under slight orders of random killings and whatnot. I admit, that I hosted one of the stufftiest servers today, that didn't deserve the players it got. I'm not going to host it again, because it is an absolute mess and the gamemode script was horrible to handle; it was messy and people could not control their cool.

I wanted to see how it'd turn out, it was an absolute shambles and I am sorry for hosting such a stuff server. This topic probably was born because of my server. It was too uncontrollable and I should have shut down the server as soon as I hit around 15 players.

I also agree with this; it was a mess to host and I made a complete rooster-up of it.
