Author Topic: Any games where you can destroy a city?  (Read 4613 times)

After you finish the campaign mission and the gold scroll appears to move on you can build the stuff out of an island. And you don't need an army at that point.

I especially enjoy sectioning off a group of people to create a royal bloodline of sorts, because if you hit S you can see everyone's name and age.

Really the entire game is an ant farm.
i know you basically entered free play when you beat every island before the portal to the next land, just never did it lol.  i would always just go right in to the next land and build another city/conquer again.

I hate that feature of the game.

In my honest opinion, I think god games should never have progression like that. I think story helps, and even the influence progression that Black and White 2 gives is alright, but shuttling the player through different theme park rides to achieve any sort of ending is subtractive from the genre.

But the sandboxes help. :)

Really? There's no sandbox mode? Not even at the end of the game?

the sandbox mode of BNW2 is basically every time you complete a land.  when you complete a land you basically have no more influence limits so you can do whatever whereever on the island you're on and i think all other towns that aren't already yours become yours through migration.

the expansion had a bonus land if you collected these statues but i never got to it, there are plenty of custom maps that are sandbox though on kayssplace.com.
