Author Topic: Macro recording to file  (Read 1342 times)

Hey. It's me again. I need a chunk of code that will take the macro i record, and save it to a file. I don't want the macro saver addon, I just want a chunk of code that I can record a macro, say a console command and it will get saved to a file. It'd also be usefull to have a console command that will load that macro.
Thanks in advice.

Use the macro saver add-on.

what you want is the macro saver without the efficiency and convenience
why

Please read the whole post.
The macro saver add-on does exactly what you want.

Oh my lord, please stop cinvincing me to use an addon, if you don't have code for that then go away, all I need is the code for saving and loading macros to files

I honestly have no idea what the forget you want.
If you want the code for it, then open the macro saver add-on and get the code.

I do indeed want that, but I am a loving handicap and I have no idea how the forget do i have to do it
I'd be very very thankful if someone did it for me

I found the functions LoadMacroFromFile and SaveMacroToFile after not even a minute of searching.
But they both have dependencies; you'd pretty much need the whole add-on., and a few modifications.

Here's a tip: when you have a request that's almost identical to something that already exists, explain why you need something different, and what you need it for. You'll often get better results.
Similarly, in coding help threads, explain the problem you're trying to solve, rather them asking how to do a solution you thought of.

Are you handicapped? Do you think using an add-on ruins your blockland or something?

Then if you can, please provide me with the code required to have those two functions. I want to make a chat controlled modified version of macro saver, but without those guis, i hate them.
