People who don't reddit always seem to look at it wrong. While the entire site is one community, it isn't comparable to a forum. The forums would be the subbreddits. Judging a massive site like that is like judging all forums based on the actions of one. Besides, there a lot of high quality and laid back subreddits that are probably a lot nicer than this forum. It's all about looking past the bluustuff which is something people should be used to here.
^^i love this and agree completely
r/Atheism: Religion is for stupid people ,and because I'm an Atheist; I am therefore part of a scientific master race that is better than everyone else. Just because people who worship god are stupid. Sagan for life!
People should have religious freedom(minus scientology), and to simply force everyone to be an atheist or to not respect ones belief's is wrong. r/Atheism should removed from Reddit since it is just a big hate group.
as far as i know, r/atheism isn't forcing anyone to be atheist. it shouldn't be removed. by that logic, we should remove r/christianity for embracing another set of ideals than other people might have.
r/atheism has improved a lot since removing picture links; it's a lot more articles. i don't know whether the circlejerk is still in place though.
to counter the claims of the guys in OP, science and religion can walk hand in hand. hell, just look at england. you'll find many of them interpret the stories figuratively, as moralistic lessons. thusly, they can embrace science just fine.
