Author Topic: Got stuck in the middle of a lake today  (Read 4254 times)

I was salmon fishing on river in a small boat in the mid 30s while it was sleeting, with a small rainjacket on for 6 hours.

Lost all feeling in my hands for a while, but the catch was worth it.

You should have brought oars/paddles.

it was a lake you forgeter not a river
don't confuse a glorius lake with peasant river

I was actually out on the lake the other day and the starter wouldn't loving work on mine either.. Well, we took the trawling motor out and went fishing for a bit, the wind was blowing and the waves were choppy, and it took us out in the middle of the lake, which took about half an hour to get back to shore, lol. Here's our boat:

That was taken when all this happened, lol. It's a 1972 Chrysler, but yeah. Right now it's at a shop getting fixed up to actual "working" condition, it's just this 40 year old pig that floats.

You should have brought oars/paddles.
That might have been a little difficult.

Wow, that's a pretty boat, is that your picture? :o

No but it's the same year and model. Mine is blue instead of black.

This happened to me once except with a sailboat; the wind completely died while we were in the middle of the lake, and we had to row back.
It was a pretty big lake too.
