Author Topic: would you eat synthetic meats  (Read 4608 times)

Bisjac how much experience do you have with farming?
Our cows eat nothing but grass and whatever else they find and seeing as how we don't fertilize there's no "doused with fertilizers and insecticides" to it its just meat
cows are fed corn which is bad for them, along with the steroids

plus the family's 6 cows =/= farmed cows that feed the population.
we are talking about grocery store meat that real farms produce.

exactly a week ago, on august 5th, the world's first lab-grown burger was eaten at a news conference in london
this marks the start of a new age of meat production
what is your opinion on this matter

if you have no idea what im talking about, synthetically-grown meat is just muscle and fat meat cells grown in a lab, instead of in an animal
Ya if you want to pay $300,000 for a burger. I'll pass until it's cheaper

what does "real farm" mean? a farm is a farm some produce enough food for a family or two and some enough for hundreds but they're equally real
I misunderstood I thought that by
there is no such thing as the classic "farm" food with that fantasy of good food. its all chemmed up anyways.
You were saying it didn't exist anywhere at all as in that there is no such thing

hell yeah make way for the future

I heard on the news that the people who first tried it said it didn't taste like it should've.

We already mention that the aforementioned burger cost stufftons of money and time to make?

gj for not reading the whole thread

and/or saving on money (good meat isn't cheap) and getting good non GMO stuff to eat
yeah, because spending thousands of dollars on a rifle, license, ammunition, and gear is really cheap!
makes sense!

Absolutely, being able to just grow steaks instead of having to raise animals would alleviate the need to waste crops on feeding the animals, doubly providing food to the world.

If a product is specifically labeled as GMO free I do not buy that product.

Dude synthmeat is the best...

Ever try Nanotransen brand?

I heard on the news that the people who first tried it said it didn't taste like it should've.
prob because they were just trying to make it edible and havent perfected the taste yet. obv they will make it taste like regular meat.

I can get a .22 for dirt cheap and poach for free. Plus Wild Hogs aren't protected, so... Although the meat is unclean.

edit: I'm still concerned about nutrients and stuff. Just because you can chew it and swallow, doesn't mean you body is getting proteins, vitamins, and minerals, fats, and sugars and stuff. Like do the cells used to grow the meat eat stuff, live off sunlight and water and other micro organisms and plant cells? Or do they just inject stuff into it?
