Don't you loving get it?
The weapons are created from materials at the factories. If there are no factories or miners and nobody can buy weapons in town, NOBODY should be able to get them out of thin air, including the bounty hunters.
Stop trying to shove this idea down our throats. Bounty Hounters will not spawn with guns.
They can buy them and stash it somewhere in their place instead.
I would settle for them spawning with a knife. They need to have some sort of weapon on them at all times. I guess stashing weapons could work. I am just trying to make the bounty hunter skillset more appealing to players. In previous city RPs, the bounty hunter job is hardly used, and when it is used, it's most likely because they want to jail people. Nobody ever placed bounties.
I can see it being difficult for just starting bounty hunters if they don't have a lot of money or if they don't have a building/safe to store weapons in. Dying would be a huge setback for them because they would have to replace the lost weapon.
EDIT: I thought about it and what do you peoples think of a Bounty Hunter being a mission-type thing.
I forgot to reply to this.
I think this would be a good idea, but to an extent. Not all of the job would be based on missions that are automatically given. In fact, they shouldn't be given at all if bounties are being placed by real players enough. If business slows (nobody is really placing any bounties) then they could randomly receive a pop-up box that tells them a target to take out and it asks them if they want to accept it or not. The bounty hunter would click "Yes", "No", or "Ask me later". If they accept it, then they can kill that player and be wired the money (the amount depending on the reputation, skill, total money of the target). If they don't accept it, they can't claim the bounty. If they select "Ask me later", it could ask them again if they want to take the job in maybe a half an hour or so.
These automated bounties should not pop-up often. The job should mainly depend on bounties being placed by players. If nobody is placing bounties, THEN they start receiving these messages. They won't get these messages and have player-placed bounties going at the same time.
This would definitely reel more players in towards this skillset because it is a more consistent job. If nobody is placing bounties, they can still do their job and earn money.
I actually really like this idea.
