Just a heads up, decal support script by port, blood decal models by me :D

How server intensive would the blood be if you had a team deathmatch?

I tested before to see how much blood decals I could support before I got a drastic FPS drop.  (These frame rates are when I looked directly at the blood only).

if Decals > 1000, Vaux'sBlockland.Crash()
1000 Decals | 30 FPS
500 Decals | 100 FPS
250 Decals | 175 FPS

My Computer Hardware:
Ram | 8 GB
CPU | Quad-Core Intel i5
GPU | Nvidia GTX 460

Interesting.

Is there open source code for this anywhere? I think I saw Port post it somewhere.

Yeah, you can find the decal system here and the blood is bundled into into this gamemode somwhere.

It depends on if you clear the blood and how much is being spawned. If I were going to use the blood in a team death match server I'd make it fade after about 20 seconds of lifetime and delete it shortly after, or when the round ends.

Thanks! I'll experiment with it, I had a different function in mind with it of course but it's helpful non-the-less.

I'm surprised how fast that gamemode was given up on/stopped.

Sorry but I haven't been able to get on the computer and work on CityMod for the last few days because of issues in real life.

Also, "demanded" = I suggested a new crime investigation idea and then brian said "get working on it hoe" ;)

By real life issues, do you mean school? Thats the most likely culprit.

To say in short, Yes.

Any progress so far?

lol you are really eager for it to come out aren't you xD

if vaux stopped being an absolute rooster sucking maniac he could sit down finish the crime system and push so we can start testing the crime/election system which would take us into the next phase.
