Firefall is a TPS/FPS game that combines class based shooting and MMO action and crafting.

In this game, you control any "battleframe" you want. A battleframe is basically a class, with skills.

5 classes, and none are the same.

Assault - The most straight forward class, relying on agility and offensive capability.

Crater - Hurls the Assault up into the air before slamming them down to the ground for devastating area damage.

Shockwave - Generates a massive wave of energy that damages everything in its path.

Afterburner - Sends the Assault hurling in whichever direction they happen to be facing.

Overcharge - Amplifies the Assaults battle capabilities for a limited time.

Dreadnaught - The ultimate equalizer, with high defense and offense.

Heavy Armor - White translucent shields rotate around the Dreadnaught while he takes less damage from incoming shots.

Turret Mode - Locks the Dreadnaught in place, limiting his turning mobility but providing a big boost in offensive damage capability.

Thunder Dome - Creates a force field around the Dreadnaught's current position for a period of time, locking in any enemies inside as well as blocking any external shots.

Dread field - Creates an area of effect that for each enemy within the radius, and amplifies the Dreadnaught's damage by 10% for each enemy for up to 300% damage maximum.

Repulsor Blast - Charged ability that knocks players back in all directions with energy drain/damage as secondary effects.

Recon - A powerful and versatile medium to long range battleframe.

Resonating Bolts - Turns the normal bullets loaded into your Sniper Rifle's clip into exploding bullets.

Cryo Bullet - Turns your next Sniper Rifle's shot into a freezing bullet.

Long Range Mine - Fires out a mine that will explode once an enemy comes within a certain range. Level progression was taken out of the game.

Biotech - A medic that also happens to play with deadly toxins.

Supercharge - Greatly enhances the combat capabilities of a teammate for a limited time.

Healing Wave - Sends out an AOE healing from yourself to your teammates within range.

Defibrillator - Instantly revives a downed teammate.

Engineer - Uses a mix of big guns and support skills.

Heavy Turret - This is a placeable turret which will fire upon enemies that enter within a certain proximity of the turret. The turrets can also become self upgrading.( Can be used to buff up your DPS or jsut provide another body to your team).

Forcefield Emitter - This ability creates a physical barrier that blocks movement and receives incoming  fire. (This can be used to block off an area for a period of time).

Resupply station - Grants you a placeable resupply station that you and your allies can use to resupply ammo and at higher level health can be restored at these locations also.

Ultimate Ability - Anti-Personnel Turret - This is much like the Heavy turret in a way, although this turret is human controlled which provides very high attack speed and damage while also protecting the user. The turret can be manned by any friendly character.

There's also crafting which isn't as tedious as you'd think. It's pretty cheap, resources wise. Each class has a signature weapon, and a secondary weapon. There's also customization for your armor, which is a lot like subclasses. There's even a paint shop and a station where you can customize your face. You've also got upgradable jump jets for flying around and shooting things.

Yeah, that's quite a bit to read so here's some pictures yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaay

i'll try to keep up with updates in the thread. also, tell me your ign so i can add you to the list.

dude this is a TPS, not an FPS
EDIT: wait a minute its somehow both what

it's more a TPS then an FPS but it's also a capable FPS

anyway, so i played this, and it's very tolerable. i actually don't hate it

it won't let me play at an 800x600 resolution, so i literally cannot read some of the information, but that might make it better

i'm not sure how competent i'm being as a combatant but i seem to be doing no worse or no better then the average guy who stops in to help me in a fight (which i find REALLY COOL, like people are willing to just camraderize whenever the forget) but i don't like the way the classes seem to have no paper ram

like my entire playstyle revolves around playing really fragile characters that go super fast and do super high damage at great risk and here i am, 30 feet behind where i'd usually stand, effortlessly dodging slow-ass plasma rockets because my shotgun is stuff in firearm form

As a heads up for later, Fragile+High Damage is called "Glass Cannon" in MMO's/Other RPG's.

no i'm aware

what i'm describing is a Paper Ram, though

high damage and super fragile but fights at excessively short range and relies on sheer speed to make sure it doesn't get hit
