I agree. I work on aircraft and I can almost assure you that they are incredibly safe. There are so many redundancies and fail-safes on the modern aircraft today that 90% of crashes are pilot error.

Are you loving handicapped? You can get your pilots license quite easily from flying a single aircraft, it doesn't mean you're ready or trained to fly every single plane that is flying today.

agreed, lack of well trained pilots over the past few years has been leading to things like this, and it's also causing a lot of actually good pilots to lose potential jobs
