That's because the color of the glass is clear, so the water looks clear.

the sky is blue because it reflects off the ocean. the ocean is blue because it reflects off the sky. this infinite loop invented the colour blue

the sky's blue because blue is a cool color
or a "kool kolor" if you will

its the skys way of communicating its favorite genre of music

I was waiting at the bus stop one day, wearing an orange shirt and blue shorts. This guy says to me "did you know those two colors are the farthest apart on the visible light spectrum? That's why the sun is orange and the sky is blue"

Because it depends where it is. If it's high up, we will see it as white, if it's low at dawn or sunrise, it's yellow/orange/pink. It's just how our eyes work.
