Author Topic: How is Blockland?  (Read 5508 times)

I am an old member who is thinking about coming back to play Blockland again and I was wondering how the community is. When I used to play, there was a fair amount of people but nothing to huge. Has the amount of people grown or is it about the same? Is the community still as "friendly" as it used to be? I just basically would like to know how the people of Blockland are these days. Also, the last time I played I can remember newbies being at about 19,000 with their  BLID. What are they at now?

Is the community still as "friendly" as it used to be?
Delete Blockland and the forums from your internet history, it may not be too late.

Blockland can now be bought from amazon

We are currently in 40 and 50'kers

the community gets along in the drama board go there if you want friendship

in all seriousness blids are at like 42000 and 50000 now

Ahh I see, so about the same as it used to be.

Thank you, that is pretty cool to see that people still bought this game.

In response to your old question, there is a portable version of Blockland now.

If you use Steam, join the Unofficially Official Blockland group!

You can also vote for it on Steam Greenlight which once Valve feels it's ready to be greenlit, it'll be made available on Steam so it can be purchased with real or virtual monies, traded(?), and gifted to others as well as being able to be used with Steam's overlay feature without using Steam's 'Add non-Steam game' feature and possibly also drag in more users than we have without it

Thanks, I saw that you could use the game like that while wandering around the Blockland site.

Yeah Ill make sure to do that. Anyway to help out. Btw, you are the first familiar name I've seen in awhile.

Yeah, i've been pretty active here since i first signed up back in 2005, it's to a point where it feels weird to even go a day without even checking the forums once, because i don't know what sort of chit-chat i'm missing out on

You may also see some familiar names in the stats page, there's still plenty of oldies around here, but several of them are under new names/accounts for reasons

Steam has a nickname feature where you can give your friends a nickname, which i use to remember people by the names i know them by, sadly, the forums do not have a feature like this, so i can hardly remember who's who half the time :(

Yeah you may or may not remember my old username. I believe I was in a few servers with you, however I hate my 11-year old self (my age last time I played Blockland) so I prefer that nobody remembers me anyway. :)

You can PM me your old name if that's how you feel, i'd like to see if you're someone i remember or not

I know that feel.

I was so handicapped at that age when I played blockland.

And kind of an ass..

most of the oldies will be perfectly willing to just forget your past behavior, it's often newer members that haven't experienced actual maturation that make it difficult for you. come on, spill the beans, who were you?

There are some problem users, but everyone else is pretty friendly.
