Author Topic: Is bad-spot going to keep this format  (Read 5401 times)

Not to mention, we'd all be paying 50 bucks for a game based on one of the high dollar engines.

I would, however, like to see what could be done with Blockland on TGEA.  Perhaps Badspot will make a future game using it.  I would not take the time to convert an already-existing game to the new engine.

i like the engine we areon right now. Like someone said before, this is just plastic legos and some minifigs. (and my comp would never be able to handle anything more than what it is right now, and i would no longer be able to host)

I would lol so hard if he replied with "english" for what language he was using.

Wouldn't the Unreal Engine cost like, hundreds of thousands of dollars to license? And Crytek would probably cost just as much.

Around $3000 I think. The only that will (if any) be reformatted is AoT onto the TGEA.

An Unreal Engine 2 license costs $350,000 + 3% royalties.

The price of Unreal Engine 3 is not openly advertised, which means if you have to ask, you can't afford it.  From what I've heard it's north of 800k.  Source engine licensing is comparable.

Sell a couple hundred thousand keys and you MAY just have enough for the engine and education of it.

Not saying I want a new one; I love torque.

Hey badspot do you think you will every be able to det a T.V. ad for blockland ?

Television advertising costs more than an internet ad does, so i doubt it.
