Author Topic: Has Blockland lost it's value since the removal of interiors and maps?  (Read 9366 times)

I really don't think that it did, it was a spectacular addition to the game though, and sadly it had to go. I mean, after all we are Blockland and I think builds and servers look a lot better with just bricks and blocks. I do admit though, building has become pretty limited without interiors and maps. I've seen a few reviews of Blockland by notable YouTubers (with 500-20k subscribers). Mostly everyone said this was a great game, but not worth $20. I think it's worth much more than $20.

Do you feel as if BL is lacking something? (Also please don't say bring back maps and interiors, because it probably won't happen).

it really depends on how you're defining 'value'

I know, you have to be interested in LEGO's or sandboxes to like the game. Many people just don't get to see the good in Blockland. I could of gotten this game in 2008 when my brother introduced the demo to me, I loved it and I asked my mom for it and she would of gotten it for me but my brother convinced me that it was a bad game, and the graphics were bad. Keep in mind I was only 8 or 9 at the time. Boy did I miss out on a lot, I regret taking his word for it.

if you consider crappy-looking low quality terrain from 1999 that was halting development quality then yes

Is everyone just going to overlook the fact that since V21 bricks look about x1,000,000 better than interiors and you can build the goddamn interiors with bricks?

It's really literally not that hard at all.

lol yes it has brought it down

the lack of quality servers and players now is so low that I get bored of blockland when I see it on my desktop

Can you build mountains with bricks that are easily traversable by vehicles?

you created a topic to discuss if blockland is worse off now, even though you started off by saying its not.

I made the topic to ask if people thought the game has lost it's value since the removal of two legendary features.

My first experience with the game was playing v0002 and RTB v1.045, and one of the things I found to be pretty interesting was the inclusion of environments set in a real house, the bedroom and kitchen and such, but seen from the perspective of a minifigure - LEGO's never done that in any of their official games. I was a bit disappointed to find they had been removed in the newer versions of Blockland, but it's not a deal breaker for me.
