The Middle East was a terrible stuffhole before World War 2. Stop pretending everything was so fine and dandy. Islam is an intolerant, violent religion, and anyone who denies that is blinder than a bat.

Unlike Christianity, Islam is a religion that you have to put work in to be granted heaven, and because of this most muslims read the quran and put much more effort into their religious devotions. With billions of followers, you would think at least a few million muslims would be out there killing everyone in sight, based on your perception of Islam.
I hate to discuss religion at all on here, but when an idiotic statement like yours is spoken to defend the atrocities foreign countries have committed against us, then I have to stop you right then and there.
It's not like you guys haven't been doing that already for hundreds and thousands of years even before the crusades. :)
Doing what already? Making breakthroughs in science, art, medicine, and mathematics? Who is "you guys"? Don't group me up with every Arab/Muslim out there. We all have our own opinions and don't see eye to eye with each other on everything. Just like America.
