the fact that you have to ask kind of says something, really being social is all in you, no one can really know who you are better then yourself so... i mean you should probably just not do whatever you were doing before. also look good, if you wear a brony shirt or wear the same sweater everyday, have nappy ass hair, wear a pair of cargo pants you got in 5th grade, people probably wont want to talk to you as much as someone better looking.

Don't sit alone. Don't take nerd classes. Be a normal person with friends. Don't try to be any more than a normal person with friends. Do not strive to be any less than a normal person with friends. Do not be a class clown. Do not be a smartie. Do not be a richard. Be a normal person with friends, and everything works out.

Don't take chances. Curiosity killed the cat. Killed it forgetin brutally too, its guts are all over the loving place. Strive to be normal. Don't be a curious cat.

Define "Nerd Classes" and "Normal" please.

nerd classes: game design. computer programming. that stuff.

normal: everyday guy who does his work, sometimes forgets it, doesn't do anything special, just goes to school, talks to his friends, goes to classes, and isnt a lil stuff like mounds is on the forums.

So, to be normal: Don't take "nerd classes' even if you want to do that kind of stuff and don't try to excel for be different because that would make you un-normal and hated. Sounds like the loser advice.

you dont half to be "normal"? i mean just dont be a loving weirdo and talk about your fursona and wear trenchcoats to school or something. but dont be some boring dude, honestly thats just no fun.

Here is what you do:

Stop caring about what people think, cause once your out of school nobody cares who you were.
I can talk to the class starfishs that would have never said a word to me as if nothing had happened.

Nobody stays the way they were in school. Trying to set an appearance now would be like trying to rewrite the dictionary on the beach.
I actually like all of this

pretty much.

Idiot.

I'm going to college for Graphic Design and Interactive Medias (the nerd classes) because it's something I enjoy. I am also the farthest from "normal" I can achieve and I'm not a hated person. Nor am I socially awkward, unaccepted, or alone.

Your advice is bad advice and anyone who follows it is selling themselves short.
He should do what he wants as he wants to do it.

Hey, guess who's going to be your boss one day?

The nerds.

Also, I take C++ in a course and also teach myself the language in my spare time outside of the class. I plan to work with other languages eventually, but my main focus right now is C++ and I plan to major in programming as a whole.

well that's because you have a decent personality unlike mounds bar

also what kind of friends do you have. friends as in friends from previous years, friends in your noid clases, ?

I take 'nerd classes' and the only way they affect me socially is result in me having more friends whom have 'nerdy' interests

idk what dry humor is but you always want to avoid political, religious, ethnic or etc. possible "touchy"/sensitive jokes until you really know someone.
I was more referring to the "dress and talk like everybody else", but some current event jokes or topics can break the ice.
