Author Topic: If Blockland got workshop?  (Read 3285 times)

Wouldn't that be awesome?

workshop is really meh

Isn't the better alternative to that Return To Blockland?

Workshop for Blockland would be amazing imo

It would be good and bad. Kind of like what happened when Garry's Mod got workshop.

RTB as it is is basically "steam workshop" for blockland.  personally i'd prefer RTB over workshop, workshop breeds problems with some users.

I'm sure ephiltitieies wallet would prefer workshop.

workshop is clunky and unpleasant to use imo. that grind at startup that takes forever to download all your addons sucks too

RTB is cool because you can download in-game, it downloads fast, and you don't have to restart the game. it also asks you if you want to update your addons (and only when they need updated) instead of taking a second grind to check addons every single loving time you start the game

What if it was only for saves? That could work pretty well.

workshop for saves wouldnt be too bad

for addons though? rtb.

I think it's fair that Steam users get something good out of it, the Workshop could potentially be even remotely as good as RTB, with or without saves

What's the point of it being on Steam then aside from more purchases? You can put Blockland on Steam just by adding a non-Steam game and bam, you have the in game overlay

RTB doesn't come default with Blockland, and there's still many that don't know about RTB and how useful it is, the Steam version of Blockland could have a button right on the main menu for opening the Workshop where you can subscribe/unsubscribe to various things

It just doesn't feel right having the game on Steam and NOT having a single difference from the non-Steam version

The Workshop can just be an alternative to RTB, there's no harm in having both anyway (other than being redundant)

Ephi should make rtb private, so all the original blocklanders aren't overwhelmed by the supposed incoming crowds (from the steam community)

i don't want to sound like some elitist prick but a large amount of people playing the game pre-greenlight can't be called "original blocklanders".  even so there's no "original blocklanders", everyone is a player of this game no matter when they started playing.

Why not make RTB v5 only have the Buffet feature enabled unless it's not the Steam version of Blockland

If you don't know what RTB Buffet is, it's this coming soon dupe system for Blockland, kinda like Gmod.

So then we can use steam for chatting and stuff and RTB Buffet for spawning dupes.
