Author Topic: I'm sick of my family, what should I do?  (Read 2098 times)

I can't stand being near my family, I love my parents and all that, but just don't wan't to live with them anymore.
I've been having real mental problems for the past few years and have even secretly went to a doctor to talk about it. He said I should visit a psychiatrist, but I haven't done that yet. I've talked with my parents as well, but they haven't done jack stuff.
Every member of my family has his own problems, but they all take their anger on me,
my dad thinks he had a bad childhood and can't control his anger and mostly runs around the house yelling at people. My mom spends 12 hours at work and has these really annoying mood shifts. She also loses control of herself sometimes and becomes really violent and destructive. My grandfather is spying on me because he thinks I'm doing drugs, he really annoys me and thinks he knows everything about me and keeps telling me I should stop seeing my friends, but he's just paranoid because he couldn't make his children stay off drugs (my aunt). My grandmother supposedly has a hatridge for men, because her father left her during the war, that's what my dad told me. And my cousin is an idiot.

I really don't know what I should do, I keep having dark thougts. I wan't to get rid of them so much, I can't get them out of my head for a second, from as soon as I wake up untill I finally fall asleep. This also sucks because I really want to be a positive person now but I can't, because I'm depressed and desperate all the time, I don't talk much and rarely smile.

Please help me.

tell your doctor to tell your parents to get you a psychiatrist

Where do you live, country-wise?
Edit: Also, how old are you?

i have absolutely no idea what to say. im pretty much the same way with my family. i sort of just smoked pot for ~2 years, along with various other substances, until i got arrested and into a drug abuse program, aka rehab.

i dont recommend that. just get that stuffty little piece of paper that says you graduated high school, and move away for college.

unless you dont wanna go, in which case you can get a job your junior/senior year and get a small apartment afterwords while you work full-time as an adult.

tell your doctor to tell your parents to get you a psychiatrist
these help a lot more than you think

edit: you can get lost in music, like i do often

This most likely won't happen because my parents don't believe me anything + I am really aginst going to the psychiatrist.
There has already been an incident when my cousin told my parents that I have bipolar disorder (I hope I don't) and they were depressed for days and wouldn't even talk to me. My mom was angry for some reason and my dad cried :c

I used to smoke weed too to relax myself, but a few months later I couldn't enjoy a trip without having bad thoughts, so I stopped. Now I only smoke when parents are far away (once a month) and it still helps.

Kill them, Take all their money and kill them.

After you kill them, put them in a car and crash it, make it look like an accident.

Kirze to the rescue!

My parents always fight

sure i want them to divorce and stuff

seriously my dad does nothing to help the family

when he comes home he plays tf2 all day

This most likely won't happen because my parents don't believe me anything + I am really aginst going to the psychiatrist.
that's why you tell the doctor

tell the doctor to come to your house or schedule a meeting with your family so the doctor can tell them about you needing a psychiastrist and how depressed you are

Kirze to the rescue!
great

I hear your bro, my family has had some huge issues all caused by my older brother, but I'm not going to go into that.

All families have issues, some are worse than others, yeah. And I agree, I am also against psychiatrist.

Best of luck, hang in there.

Is she a hot idiot at least?

kill them all
you know those little packets of rat poison they put in boxes?
make your family a very "special" dinner

Slovenia
Apparantely you can get in contact at any time, for free, with a child helpline in Slovenia.

https://ec.europa.eu/digital-agenda/en/news/116-slovenia

The 116 numbers are a set of phone-numbers reserved across Europe which provide access to local helplines in your country.
That includes child helplines, for asking simply for assistance, or even just to talk to someone.

The people on these lines are professionals and are there for your support, not for your family. They care about you first.

Here's a description of the services on the 116 lines.
http://ec.europa.eu/digital-agenda/en/about-116-helplines

If you're having difficulty with your family and life, I highly suggest using a child helpline.
They know exactly what they can do and are there for you whenever you need it.
It's much better to phone these people and either just chat with them or ask for help. They'll be able to provide you with a lot more than many people on these forums.
