I liked the DSi.  It was compact and nice.

This...  I don't even know what to call this other than a waste of space.  It also looks like it could be really heavy.

It looks like a toast from the front

it's for younger/'special' kids whose parents are hesitant about the whole 3d thing and want a cheaper, more durable, alternative. the solid structure makes it more resistant to handicap rage. it's also being released on the same day as the new pokemon game (guaranteed to bring in sales). i don't see what the big deal is and why everyone's going "why wahh nintendo why did you do this". think before you post.
pretty much this

Now I'll never be able to sell my DSI XL with 2 games for $100

let's start making jokes

I have a 3DS XL and a DSi. Do I have a 2DS?

Selling my 3DS XL to get one of these for myself and one for my brother instead of having to share one.

why don't you just get one for him and keep your 3DS XL?

Because my family is piss-poor and I had to sell all my gamesystems to get a 3DS XL, and it really isn't what I wanted it to be.

Also no money.

Well that sucks.

I /really/ have to post the pictures of my DSi on ebay now to beat these systems sales...

This will probably be a financial failure like the Wii U was. Except the Wii U is going to wield Mario Kart 8 in 2014 as well as the new Super Smash Bros.
It might reign supreme that year.
Any way, I already have a 3DS and it's small and great. Why do we need this new thing?
I'm just going to save up for a Wii U because they already released Pikmin 3 and I can't miss out on more.

My special needs sister actually has a 3DS and uses it fine. I think it's more of just a change in format for the physical shape of the consoles.

Uh..Ill stick to my SP thanks..

Also, another reason why I am getting this is because I can't use the 3D because it hurts my eyes and is basically useless for me. I have to take off my glasses for it not to hurt and then I can't see anything.
