Author Topic: Surgery this morning.  (Read 3414 times)

I'm having surgery 4 hours from now to repair my nose. I will be getting my nose broken so it can be straightened and also getting my septum centered. They will also be performing some plastic surgery on my nose at the same to to give it a nicer shape. My father's side of the family all have large bulges on the bridge of their nose and the tip of them hang down too much, including mine. So they will be fixing that simultaneously. The surgery is supposed to last over 4 hours, and supposedly it's one of the most painful surgeries to recover from. I'll be out of work for 4 weeks :/
I'll be back at it on the forums within 3 days, so don't get too excited for my absence ;)

Discuss previous surgeries you guys have had if you want to.

Well when I was a baby they had to put tubes in my ears to suck out menstrual fluid out of my ears lol.

why in god's name would you ever do that? people who get plastic surgery are too loving insecure about themselves and need to be closer to that "perfect image" that's more attractive and people find cute to feel confident and get people to like you more, you change yourself, you become less of yourself.

You have no idea what my nose looks like lol. I don't have a problem with it, but when I get older the shape will worsen. A specialist recommended it to me, and I'd rather look pretty :) Plus it's completely free(thanks insurance!).

Remember, this surgery is mainly about repairing my nose, not the cosmetic stuff. I can't even breath out of my left nostril.
what the forget
The surgeon breaks your nose so they can center the septum and bridge. It's the only way to make it straight again.

You should have said that.

Also, if you care about looking more "pretty" cinderella you do care about what your nose looks like, you want to change it to look more pretty, which I said before.

you've obviously have never read about medical procedures

Hey whatever man, it's my nose. I'd rather it didn't look like my father's nose when I get older.

If it makes you happy...

mounds he says right from the beginning

"surgery to repair my nose"
"repair"

he says later that they'll be doing plastic surgery as well to the side
it's not as if the point of it was to make his nose look better, he obviously had the intention to get it fixed first.

Exactly. The only reason I'm getting the plastic surgery done too is because the surgeon offered it free of charge, and said they could do it during the same surgery. I wouldn't have done it under any other circumstances. The main focus is to repair the nose.
