The two things the server needs most are better dungeons that encourage players to work together, and a nerfed combat system.
For the former, I find that the dungeons are very straightforward and vapid. It would be nice if I could actually ask a friend and say "Hey, do you want to explore that new dungeon in GFD's server?" But, now, I could go through pretty much every dungeon, because they're all straight forward and not challenging at all. Better dungeons and new classes that are oriented in buffing friends or debuffing enemies would be awesome (like a Bard class), and would help encourage team work, in my opinion.
Also, the combat system is pretty bad, but the server is still somehow fun. I hate how there are so many enemies that I am perfectly capable of killing easily, yet they have some ability that kills me instantaneously. I know this is to encourage teamwork, but I think there are better methods, despite the fact I have none right now. Also, one can quickly grind levels so that they can one hit kill pretty much every enemy in the game. To combat this, I think you need a new algorithm of stats, a level cap, and a new damage formula for both spells and attacks. I'd share examples, if you would like that.
