hamhost looks free for now but it doesn't look like its very good quality and or trustworthy

if you cant scrape up only 6 bucks for a month of hosting, then you don't deserve to host at all

Nope, you need to pay money if you're using Kalphiter's, RTB's, and other dedicated hosting services

Otherwise your server will just have to run on your internet connection.

It's not even clear if OP is asking how to host a server on his own.

It's free, and the quality is pretty good now, since VPS has changed. My server stays at a pretty decent ping and has no lag. Where is everyone getting their information?

Honestly HamHost looks fine for most people's needs. The only potential issue I see is that nobody will ever buy premium servers from them because they don't know how to get Bitcoins to pay them with. (Which I've offered to exchange for free)

cbmhost is free
I use it and have no problems

CBMHost, HamHost, and RTB are good picks. I personally think HamHost is great. CBM is a bit better for reliability though since HamHost is pretty new.

RTB and Kalphiter's are probably the best. But free ones aren't bad though.
CBM Hosting is recommended if you do not wish to pay, however CBM Hosting uses limited slots and you might scrape up enough money to buy a month on RTB by the time a new slot is open.

cbmhosting currently has too many clients. hamhost is your only option

If you send in an application, then you are put onto a waiting list. It just takes time to be selected, but in the meantime I think HamHost is the best option since CBM is busy.

Uh or you could just host your own. It's not that hard and doesn't even use up that many resources
