Author Topic: Found out my dad could lose his job.  (Read 2998 times)

thats why unions dont actually do jack stuff for workers

but thats my political opinion, ill keep that out of here

best of luck to you, my dad was unemployed for 6 months for the same reason and times were very tough, i hope your dad doesnt go through the same things

My father got fired from Johnson Controls, sat around for almost a year playing League of Legends, got another job at Dell, quit, and then got another job at a green power company ( which is his best job.)

my dad worked for York before it got bought out by JC, he was making $54/hour as a journeyman with 20 some years of experience, got laid off two months after JC bought York.

working sucks, you could always lose your job

My dads retired. I hope he doesn't lose his job.

Unions were made for a good cause. However when you get selfish people running them, the whole thing falls apart and people lose their jobs or the company dies. Just like Hostess.

my dad is that good at what he does, he doesn't even hunt for jobs, jobs hunt for him

well they say that man is the most dangerous game

You rich bro?

I hope your dad isn't trying to push it since he's in a union. Unions always ruin everything.

I hope your dad keeps his job. Good luck, buddy.
because unions definitely don't fight for raising unfair wages, fox isn't the best place to learn what unions are

OT: I hope your father keeps his job or finds a new one. It's hard to find them these days. Good luck man

My dad got laid off about a year ago. He had a big meeting and nobody at work knew what it was about. So I joked to him that they're firing everyone. Turns out they were doing just that. Closing the transportation division of Toys'R'Us and switching to a different company. It really sucked because if he kept the job it would pay at the very most 2/3 of what he was making. A majority of people took the layoff. The people that staid were barely making more than those that took the layoff and took unemployment.

This is why unions suck; they were good before when there was no such thing as workers rights, but now that there is they usually just get in the way.

my dad earns like twice as much as that lol

He makes $108 an hour? What does your dad do exactly? Once you get to that pay grade you're not making per hour.

What's with Unions anyway
