i love how people say they should get over it lol
did Japan forget about hiroshima
did Russia forget about the second revolution
did Germany forget about the holocaust
yeah guys history isn't a big deal lets all drop everything
like that other guy said, nobody is forgetting about it
but let me just say, you're comparing 9/11 to:
the detonation of an atomic bomb detonation that has incredibly long-lasting effects on the environment and people
part of WWI (I say it this way because just about any part of WWI will be worse than 9/11)
and the deaths of billions of innocent people

i have a feeling that, as bisjac says, the government makes you stay mad so that on the anniversary the government will start selling t-shirts of the twin towers fly kicking osama bin laden which will bring in so much cash the us debt will be wiped out

we have a firefighter from that day coming in tomorrow, i should probably just laugh at him and tell him to get over it right? i mean it was 12 years ago surely he had a worse day since then! it was only 3000 people, that's not even that many!1!1!!

12 years and you americans still cant stop talking about this

lol
so should we all completely forget about the holocaust because it was like 60 years ago, right?

plus we should just forget about memorial day because the war is over, right?

Not completely forget about it because honestly, that doesn't happen.
Just stop reminiscing about it.

I mean, the Vietnam war was also horrible, but we don't have a day that we mourn over that every single year.
Well we do have veteran's day for the veterans of all wars.

Being a guy who likes history I say we shouldn't forget the past and instead learn from them so that we don't repeat them. Almost all the things that repeat in history are caused by people who said "Oh that was a long time ago, it won't happen again". Yeah that whole won't happen again thing doesn't hold water, look at the Great Depression and now we are in a Recession; which isn't as bad since there aren't shanty's going up and long soup lines(please inform me if I am worng). However jobs are scarce depending on where you live.

It's also my birthday tomorrow and I live close to where the towers fell.

By 'complain' I was just talking about people who haven't moved on yet and still treat it like a tragedy that just happened yesterday. I don't mean we shouldn't complain about anything ever, lol

Don't get me wrong, it's good to remember and even grieve about 9/11, it helps people cope and develop a picture of what kind of world we live in. But it's been twelve years. We have to move on sometime. By this point, 9/11 should be a day to look back for history's sake, not a day to grieve. By now people should have moved on emotionally

Nobody is complaining except you, about this topic.
Yeah I had a bad choice of words, shouldn't have said complaining. Although I'm not exactly complaining either, I was just saying my opinion on people's reaction to 9/11, I don't mind the topic or anything

Good point, although that's more of a day to thank veterans for what they did than to remember everyone who died in the wars. We do that as well, but it doesn't seem like it's really the focus

how was the gift

how was the gift

I didn't get a gift yet, but I'm getting $20 and me and my twin brother will get to pick out a good restaurant to dine at. A lot of the big gifts I ask for I usually just get on Hanukkah.

I don't get what you mean fully. I will try to answer: on my birthdays I try not to remember what happened.

And these days, a story where 5 marines or something died in Afghanistan is always featured on CNN.
I think that you all should stop acting like it's such an important day tomorrow. 12 years is a long time. Don't be like Setro:
I kind of think it's strange to release something on 9/11.
