this. and family values is a lie.
people get shot and stuff in 3rd world countries, for being gay. i remember uganda wanted to kill them all. sounds pretty hateful to me.
I'm gay and I don't agree with homoloveuals either (their whole "OMG WE NEED RIGHTS" thing)
w.a.t
Let me prefix this by saying that I support LGBT rights.
Let's say we replace homoloveual relationships with a different, more absurd relationship. Say, bestiality. Sure, there are people out there that are in love with cows. All they want to do is settle down and marry a cow, and since they can adopt a baby and raise it as a cowperson, it's doing a favor to society by giving babies families, albeit abnormal ones. Just insert every pro-homoloveual argument into the the frame of a human-animal relationship. Most people would say that is definitely morally wrong. People think the same thing about homoloveual relationships: that they're immoral, wrong, disgusting. In their opinion, the only valid relationship is between a man and a woman, just like in most peoples minds only same-species relationships are valid.
I definitely understand why people don't support gay marriage, but in my opinion same-love marriage isn't unacceptable.
but isn't opposition to bestiality different? animals can't legally consent. two men/two women can.
and i do agree with religious folk about the sanctity of "marriage"
because marriage is literally a religious thing. its a ritual before god to own a woman. its been that way for thousands of years.
gay people want the same rights, but they dont have to be "married" to have it.
i think everyone seems to forget what they are fighting for.
well, married people do have rights that civil partnerships do not get. at the very least, these should be made equally, in terms of what you can and can't do.
also, marriage isn't always religious. there is legal marriage. legal matters should always be altruistic, because they don't follow religious doctrine.
Nothing is wrong, but people who are gay think other guys will just like them, whether that guy is gay or not.
generalizing. if somebody hits on you knowing you're straight, it's not because they're gay, but because they're a douchebag.
I don't mind gay men, however the ones that seek attention are irritating. Also I hear gay's are very discriminatory. Like if you are black, you are going to have a difficult time.
i would think gay people like black people especially, what with the whole big richard stereotype
richards were not meant to be inside of a back door.
End discussion.
nevertheless, if they're born gay, and being gay is not a damaging or harmful to themselves or anyone around them, who are we to say they can't be married? (legally married, i mean. we can't really force religions to accept gay people) to do otherwise would be discrimination; it's not their fault they like the same love.
