Nal, it was kind of immature of you to take a random stab at PM out of the blue.
what

No, you're just a fan of handicapped looking phones that have a ui that looks good, and nothing else

That wasn't necessary at all.

That wasn't necessary at all.
this. android gives apps too much freedom over how their UI looks and stuff.

when will you understand that people have opinions?
how is giving freedom to a UI an opinion?

how is giving freedom to a UI an opinion?
are you guys seriously fighting over what phone is better over the internet

how is giving freedom to a UI an opinion?
Whether or not you like that fact is an opinion, and personally, I would prefer my apps to fit in with the look and feel of the entire operating system, as it creates a common, familiar look and interface that users can use right away. You don't have to learn anything new.

nal chews purple out the ass any chance he gets, and vice versa

nothing new

Personally, I would prefer my apps to fit in with the look and feel of the entire operating system, as it creates a common, familiar look and interface that users can use right away. You don't have to learn anything new.

Is it the icons, app drawer, or app ui designs you don't like? Most of the mainstream apps have the same interface for both platforms.

You guys are seriously handicapped. Phones evolve so fast that comparing specs is pretty much irrelevant, in a year there will be a phone double as fast. The 5% margin any one modern phone has over another is negligible. As for the operating system, that's entirely what the person prefers. I personally feel the way android is set up is convoluted. I understand that you can change this and customize it, but I prefer not having to do that. I really like the way iOS 7 looks (I've been running it for months) and I don't want to change anything about it, because it's been refined. It's actually stupid too, because you guys claim ways Android is better and then when iOS adds similar features you get your panties in a knot over how they stole those features from Android. When iOS 7 was announced, the only thing I heard from anyone was 'Apple ripped off Android.' Well, that should make you happy because now this operating system has assimilated into carrying features you like about your phone. The point is, no one phone is better for everyone. It's just not objective like that.

I can do that with my android too. I cannot stand having to get right up next to the screen of an iPhone to type etc, the screen is just way too small for me (and a really weird resolution). Please do not say that a smartphone is a tablet. I would take the S4/Nexus size screen any day over an iPhone's. You can see from the picture that the overall phone sizes are less different than the screen sizes.
And as far as comfort, I prefer to not hold a brick in my hand. Androids fit into your palm by curving out a little, and even place the power button on the right side where your thumb goes.

I try to not come off as an "elitist prick", I just want to help people invest in the best phone and give android a chance (as it is the underdog in the US). For many, an iPhone is the best choice due to how basic/common it is. But if you are posting here on the Blockland Forums, chances are that an Android is for you.

I have an iPhone 4 as well as large hands. It's still the perfect form factor. Also bold = no. I've built two high end computers and gathered all the parts and such myself, installed all the software, etc. and I still use an iPhone. Its just one of the easiest things to use as a smartphone, no need for over complicated bullstuff, and it runs really well.

no need for over complicated bullstuff
uhh like what
i dont see how android is any harder to use than ios

Make sure you're comparing iOS 7 to Jellybean (which I find extremely simple). I love downloading from the browser, clean home screens w/ widgets, and swyping to type. But that's my preference. I also can't wait until all smartphones can do everything.

grats. you can do what anyone can do.

welcome to the nerd masterrace. lets brag more about how computer literate we are as a showcase of our intellect. because the nerdier we appear, the more our opinions on electronics matter.

Yes waltz into the back-end neighborhood of my town and ask any of the spics to build a computer, they sure could do it!
