If you don't have a touchscreen it is. My laptop has windows 8 and its awful. All the handicapped swipe functions get in my way and the task manager takes ages to turn up when your trying to end a program (which never happened with windows 7). Its also a pain in the ass to do the simplest thing with the new start menu. I hope windows 8.1 resolves these issues.

You've got to be handicapped if you've used it for more than a day and still aren't used to it.
