Well, first of all, I don't have any intention at all in showing my dad this thread... Second of all, I comply with him because if I don't he'll either blow up my computer or kill me.

If you are bad at not using calculators then get out of that bad habit.
In college a lot of my teachers at least say to show work so most people don't use calculators and memorize how to show it through working it out.

It's probably best that your teacher told you not to use calculators.

Yeah in high school teachers make you show your work too, which I do. I don't put whole problems in my calculator, just small operations.

It's good to just practice Multiplication and division. I got really good at it back in the 3rd grade and it isn't incredibly hard to get used to. Have you ever done worksheets called Mad Minutes? They are simple multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. They are quick and can help you a lot. Go to THIS website and generate a practice sheet and print it out. Do 1 or 2 of these a day and you will get better :)
