If gender is but a device made by the patriarchy to oppress, why do supporters of feminism/lgbbqt choose to buy into it by saying they are or are not a gender?

The world may never know...

I try not to delve too deep into these types of topics. They wind up just stirring up stuffstorms, arguments, and the like, when there's really no need for such disagreements.

Anyway, why'd you make this thread? Somebody piss you off?

I asked the question I asked because I wanted an awnser.
If you don't like arguments, then I'd suggest you stay out of a serious topic like this one.

I don't see why anyone in their right mind would like arguments.

That's as if you're saying "I sure love it when the person I'm having a discussion with doesn't agree with me."

Unless that person is just the type that has a combative attitude by nature, but I'm not trying to point fingers here.

iliketransmissions...

i have a friend who is a trap. here's my two cents on "him" (this person is loveually a grill, but identifies as a boy)

trans people make me confuse. i can understand that you're unhappy with what you were born as, but you dont need to blame society for what we have done for centuries, that is, labeling those with male genitalia as male and those with female genitalia female. i know these people get beyond loving mad when you try to bring up this concept to them. and honestly this stuff confuses me, when i try to talk to "him" about it, i get scoffed off as ignorant or something along those lines because I don't properly understand why gender/love is an issue.

I do, plenty do.
I don't get how someone can be so opposed to a bit of discussion. It's like putting your fingers in your ears and screaming anytime someone you disagree with comes along.

So it's a reverse trap? A girl that acts like a man?

Sure gender is mostly defined by genitalia, but I think it really counts about the personality.
If you speak to many men and women, you would notice that the men generally have a different kind of sociality and lifestyle than women do. What they were born as will always be part of their life, whether they get reproductive transplants or not.

This was just something that was on my mind as of recent. If you have any countering ideas, post it; I'd like to hear what other people would say about this.

She's trying to talk about ignorance when she is voluntarily ignorant of her own gender.

Sounds like a real woman lol

trans people still identify with a gender role

Those were the days.

I don't oppose discussion, unless it's a sensitive subject that could very well start, as I said previously, a stuffstorm.

To add to this, though, gender isn't exactly social construct as much as it's a biological construct, but society forces certain standards, so yeah.

Transgendered people are simply biological anomalies.

Women have vaginas, men have snakees, this is not subjective.

Welp, there you go.

/thread?

What I (think I) was getting at was that there might be some members of the community who don't like talking about gender barriers, so they'd start a riot or something.
