Author Topic: Discuss transgender people and what they think. (I identify as a lizard!)  (Read 14270 times)

i haven't been on the forum for months, and this the first thread i see

neat

I didn't realize you were this bigoted, DrenDran.
i bet ur gay LOL

its not unethical or illegal to not be accepting.

special minority groups only deserve tolerance. but they are to stupid to know the difference. so they get mad wanting both but not specifically know what one is what.

Bisjac won the thread.

Was this thread made only as a way to start trouble, or what? It sure seems like it.
That's basically the size of it.

No, minority groups aren't so stupid that they think they're entitled to special treatment.
It is unethical, in the view of a fair number of people, to not be accepting of others (of course, as with anything, there is a line somewhere; it's pretty hard to "accept" someone who is prone to violent attacks on those around him).

I've noticed that ad bot is pretty clever. In the "Did I deserve to be grounded" topic, ad bot left an ad for zip ties.

She's trying to talk about ignorance when she is voluntarily ignorant of her own gender.
do u know what ignorant means
bc I'm petty sure he knows whether he has a richard or a vagina

what if adbot isnt an actual bot

Gender roles are socially constructed, but gender identity isn't.

but whatever a blood test says
but at the end of the day you're either XX or XY
It seems a lot of people think transgender is like some dude just thought to himself one day "I like boobs I wish i had some so i play with them all the time lol"
But often times something went wrong as a embryo/fetus/infant/whenever and there was an actual issue with development; say the child has XY chromosomes, they are genetically male, yet for some reason they grew a vagina instead.
This does happen, and I don't see how you can tell this child what they are

Gender roles are feminine and masculine. It isn't a GENDER IDENTITY.

Well, what Headcrab said.

Human loveuality is too complicated. If you are a biological male, who identifies strongly as a women, likes women and men, only has love with men, and feels comfortable in masculine gender roles, you will feel like you need to be tolerated. *cough*edit*cough*

Such cases actually are the minority. You do realize this, right?

He's ignorant of (he is ignoring) gender roles.
That's basically the size of it.
How much 'trouble' can one thread really cause? Unless by 'trouble' you meant 'discussion'.

It's not like I'm going to go a punch someone in the face if they say they're trans.
But I don't have to agree with their dilusions.
I'm not sure where the "bigoted friend" thing came from, probably just 95% of the LGBT community being filled with idiots who don't know what opinions are.  No, people thinking having a jetpack sticking out of your back is weird aren't bigoted because it is weird.  (But that would be pretty bad ass, can I have one too?)  love changes are loving weird, too, I don't blame anyone for giving me funny looks for saying I'm planning on having one.  No one is a "bigoted friend" for thinking love changes are weird or gross or whatever, they're entitled to their opinions.  Any opinion is fine to have as long as it isn't something harmful that you act on because of the opinion, IE beating someone because of their race.
In short, no, it's not bigoted to think something is weird or even to think it's wrong.  That's silly.
This guy seems cool. Just don't tell people you're a woman till you buy a vagina.

trans people make me confuse. i can understand that you're unhappy with what you were born as, but you dont need to blame society for what we have done for centuries, that is, labeling those with male genitalia as male and those with female genitalia female.
Trans people I know do not persecute people for having their terminology messed up. If someone is actually blaming you for not understanding these fairly new gender identity terms, they're probably just being a douchebag and it's not an issue with the entire transgender community.

DrenDran.

I understand you have an opinion about transgender people, but you don't have the feelings they do. How do you know they are delusional? Unless you are transgender, stop talking about how it doesn't make sense and how the feelings are just bad.

adbot is a bot, it just takes keywords from the webpage you are on and finds relevant ads

The real question is; how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Such cases actually are the minority. You do realize this, right?
What is the minority? The specific example? The example is just that: an example. There's tons of other causes.

But I'm assuming you mean people who have some sort of (for lack of a better word) disorder.
Do you have anything to back this claim up?
As far as I can find through a google search, the causes of transgender identity are unknown. I can find a lot of theories though, and all of them point to things beyond the individuals choice.
